Easter etc.

So, Easter happened. As usual, we had a busy schedule of choir commitments, to which I added an extra evening by volunteering to masquerade as a chorister on Maundy Thursday. We also invited some friends around for Easter lunch after the two morning services, which meant the usual mad shopping-cleaning-cooking rush on top of everything else – as usual I complained about it all, but of course it was a lot of fun on the day. Another of my occasional “what have we been up to lately” posts…

With the end of summer fast approaching we finally made it to an open-air performance, and I managed to visit an exhibition I’ve been meaning to see at the Met for months, just days before it closed. We spent the Labor Day weekend visiting a friend in Chicago, and the 9/11 anniversary weekend singing two different requiems at St Bart’s. Continue reading

As various people have pointed out to me, things have been a little quiet around here lately…!
